Favourite Things Friday – Hiking Boots
Next June, I’m looking at walking Hadrian’s Wall with my Dad, from north east to north west. It may not sound very exciting to some, but it’s something I’ve been wanting to do for a very long time. From the finish line we’ll ferry across to Ireland/Northern Ireland, where R will be waiting, intent as he is on not walking anywhere unless it’s purposeful (!). We’ve also been offered the use of a house in France and one in Spain, so they’ll be on the agenda, also. They’ll be the reward; it’s walkies first.
And for such an adventure one will need appropriate footwear.
A couple of months ago I bought these little Teva beauties off Ebay; brand new seconds, they’re well-made and fit like a glove (I must admit I had held my breath a little buying shoes online!). So – aside from this week in which I’ve been shot down with flu – I’ve been walking miles to break these little darlings in and to toughen up my soft girly feet for next year.
